Community Manager

At High 12 Brands, our goal is to build some of the most recognizable and successful cannabis brands to come out of Canada. We are hiring a Community Manager to grow and manage High 12 Brands’ online presence.

Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing, the Community Manager will be the owner and operator of High 12’s corporate and branded social media channels and web properties. The Community Manager will be responsible for expanding High 12 accounts’ followings, fostering continued engagement, and cultivating relationships within relevant digital communities.

In this job you will...

  • Build and manage content calendars for High 12’s corporate and branded social media accounts

  • Conduct and employ market research to create plans for connecting within digital communities

  • Identify new users within digital communities and engage in conversations relatable to target consumers and channel stakeholders

  • Liaise with creative and designers to populate and execute against social media content calendar

  • Copywriting for social media posts

  • Engage daily with community members across multiple brands and platforms

  • Support customer service inquiries

  • Maintain and update corporate and branded website properties, employing SEO best practices

  • Track trends relating to the industry, product, and social media

  • Track, analyze, and report on insights and learnings on weekly basis

We are looking for someone with...

  • Post-secondary degree in marketing, digital or a related field

  • Minimum 2 years of direct work experience in a brand or agency setting

  • Experience building and managing a brand presence in digital communities

  • Deep understanding of online platforms and ability to adapt strategy and tone to channel

  • Experience using Sprout Social, Planoly, Google Analytics and or/ other social reporting platforms

  • Strong copywriting ability

  • Ability to write effectively in brand voice across multiple brands

  • Excellent visual communication skills (digital design experience is an asset)

  • Empathetic with a strong ability to connect with communities and stakeholders (influencers, moderators, power users)

  • A bias to action and resourceful, scrappy approach

  • Outstanding project management ability

  • A data-driven approach; strong quantitative analysis ability

  • Collaborative, team-first mentality

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry (or similar regulated industry) is an asset
