Chief Financial Officer

At High 12 Brands our goal is to build recognizable and successful global cannabis brands. We are creative, we are collaborative, and we are hyper-focused on delivering products that are beloved by cannabis consumers. We are hiring a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a financial and business thought partner to the senior management team. The CFO will play an integral part in the planning, communication and execution of the company’s short and long-term financial strategies. The CFO will focus on analyzing and growing our business through a financial and accounting lens, as well as building a robust finance and reporting function.


In this job you will…

  • Develop strong financial systems and oversee the implementation of those processes

  • Work closely with senior management in developing and implementing business plans, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans

  • Provide analysis and internal reporting that informs business decision-making and enables the

  • leadership team to have greater insight into key metrics of business performance

  • Lead the business through the challenges of growth and position the business to capitalize on undiscovered opportunities.

  • Maximize return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community

  • Assure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations

  • Review financial reports for ways to reduce costs

  • Manage financial controls and accounting procedures

  • Ensure full transparency over the financial performance of the company

  • Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate

  • and manage capital structure and fundraising initiatives

  • Monitor performance with tracking, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports, both current and forecasting for earnings calls, the management team, and the rest of the company

We are looking for someone with…

  • Experience in accounting and/or finance

  • 3+ years experience in executive leadership position

  • Strong deal making experience

  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, and analysis experience

  • Experience in driving strategic, financial analysis

  • Proactive and constructive style of engagement with business leaders to earn credibility as a finance partner who adds value and helps drive business results

  • Excellent strategic and operational planning capabilities

  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.

  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills

  • Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning

  • Experience with investor relations

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives

  • Tax structuring/knowledge is a benefit, but not required
